Demystifying diseases: Using NMR to understand Covid-19 at the molecular level
With Covid-19 set to remain a global health issue for years to come, understanding the molecular machinery of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and devising new strategies to prevent it working remain high on the research agenda. As a member of the Covid-19 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) Consortium, Professor Dr Teresa Carlomagno is at the forefront of this effort, and here she explains to us why the capabilities of NMR give it a special role in the biochemist’s toolkit.
