Fertile soils all over the world produce a rich treasure of different commodities like cereals and oilseeds. Bruker provides precise and robust analysis for use in the lab or production to collect essential data at different production stages for farmers, processors, and breeders.
The analysis of grains and oilseeds plays a major role in ensuring the best quality of food as well as of agricultural products. Near Infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) offers solutions for oil producers as well as for breeders. Our systems for lab and online use enable a compositional analysis in a wide range of applications:
XRF is a fast, nondestructive technology for heavy metal screening of grains such as arsenic in rice. Bruker’s Elemental Analyzer portfolio includes high-throughput lab-based ED-XRF and WD-XRF, point-and-shoot handheld XRF, micro-XRF, and ultra-trace analysis TXRF spectrometers.
TD-NMR combines rapid, simultaneous analysis of oil and moisture, with easy sample preparation (no grinding) and simple calibration. High accuracy and reproducibility, about 2 to 3-fold better than wet chemistry or competing technologies. Oil and moisture in seeds are analyzed according to international standard methods. No dependency on color, surface, and penetration depth.
