In this webinar, Prof. Xin Zhou, the vice director of Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Wuhan, China, will give a comprehensive introduction to the application of hyperpolarized 129Xe gas MR, based on his research in this field for 2 decades. He will show the technique of chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST), diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI), and more, and present examples in detecting the gas-exchange function and microstructure in rodent models of lung disease. The fast acquisition and reconstruction techniques of hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI such as compressed sensing and deep learning will be also included. He will also discuss imaging and data analysis considerations for 129Xe brain imaging.
