Learn from Bruker's Tribology Experts
Join our tribology experts for virtual and in-person courses in our Customer Support Centers around the globe. You will learn about the theory, practical applications, operational tips and tricks for a number of tribology techniques using our Tribometers and mechanical testers. Each course has a specialized focus and most classes include both theoretical and practical trainings. During in-person lab sessions, attendees can practice on Bruker instruments in our demonstration facilities and are invited to use their own samples. Upon request, students may also stay an additional day to have more hands-on time in the lab.
While there is a charge for the courses, customers with Complete Care or Access Care service contracts are eligible for free tuition. Others under service contract should contact BrukerNSDServiceOrders@bruker.com for information about available discounts.
UMT Tribolab Basics And Hands-on Training
During this 2-day training program, we will be covering the basics of Tribology and how it is implemented on Bruker UMT Tribolab. This is an immense chance for Tribology enthusiasts to get a hands-on experience with our flagship product UMT Tribolab.
If you are new to the system or need a refresher, you can choose to participate only in one or whole days, depending on your personal requirements.
The first day of the course covers the basics of Tribology. The second day covers basic software usage and applications. An overview of the analysis functions using Viewer software is also included.
Day 1:
- Tribology Introduction
- TRIBOLAB and Modules Introduction
- Introduction to the UMT and Viewer software
- Linear module installation, scripts
Day 2:
- Rotary module installation, scripts
- Reciprocating module installation, scripts
- Operation with heaters (REC-400 chamber)
- Open for discussions, attendees can practice on the instrument.
Conditions: Daily lunch is provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations. Registration will close two weeks (10 working days) before the training begins. Please note that the number of participants is limited. If the class reaches full capacity, we will make an effort to schedule another training session in the future. If fewer than three person register, the course will be canceled.
