Leading ion trap design
Ultimate MS/MS efficiency
The amaZon speed offers:
Dual ion funnel
Delivering unmatched sensitivity by dual ion funnel inlet.
Fast scanning mass analyzer
Provides several standard scan ranges up to 52,000 u/sec
The amaZon speed ion trap sets an analytical standard for small molecule and screening applications. Fundamental improvements to the well proven amaZon platform offer dramatically enhanced speed, mass resolution, MS/MS efficiency and reproducible quantitation, delivering unsurpassed performance.
With a 10x higher MS/MS sensitivity over current platforms and Zero Delay Alternating switching at a minimum of 20 Hz MS acquisition rate, this ion trap system delivers increased performance to meet growing demand from the pharmaceutical, chemical and clinical markets.
The amaZon speed builds upon Bruker’s vast experience in ion trap technology and is designed specifically to enhance capabilities in research areas such as proteomics, metabolomics, forensic compound screening and identification, and detailed chemical analysis.
MS for Structure Analysis
Identifying drug metabolites and verifying their structure play a vital role in pharma discovery and development. Software features like the FragmentExplorer are the ideal tools for structure confirmation, taking advantage of the fast and sensitive stepwise MS fragmentation of the amaZon speed ion trap. Bruker‘s MetaboliteTools software suite provides confident metabolite prediction as well as detection and interpretation of new compounds.
Walk-up Compass OpenAccess workflows
The intuitive and workflow-oriented GUI of the Compass OpenAccess software supports the flexibility and speed of the amaZon speed as an ideal solution for multi-user industrial, clinical or teaching labs. The web-based client server system is ideally suited for workflows such as quality control (QC), recombinant protein MW verification or automatic library searches.
Drug quantitation
Reliable and routine quantification is a task so far reserved for triple quadrupole instruments. The enhanced speed and reproducibility of the amaZon speed in MRM experiments enables the reliable quantification of target compounds in diverse matrices.
Bottom-up analysis
The complexity of the proteome still challenges analytical technologies. The high dynamic range and complexity due to posttranslational modifications require maximum speed and sensitivity to capture as many peptides as possible.
The enhanced MS/MS speed, faster isolation and SMART fragmentation capabilities of the amaZon speed ion trap set new standards in protein identification. This results in the identification of > 1200 unambiguously identified proteins in a single LC-MS/MS run from 1 µg E. coli digest.
Excellent dynamic range
The UPS-2 standard is a mixture of 48 proteins spanning a concentration range of 6 decades in total. The amaZon speed allows protein identifications over 5 concentration levels in a single run.
Productivity, robustness and high sequence coverage
The amaZon speed is equipped with the high-transmission, robust CaptiveSpray source for high performance and reproducibility in bottom-up studies.
