The demand for electric energy storage devices like rechargeable batteries and super capacitors has increased due to the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Lithium-ion batteries are currently the most energy-dense and therefore the most sought after. However, due to the limited availability of lithium, interest in sodium-based batteries is also growing. PGSE NMR provides unique opportunities to study such materials.
