27 fruit type models and 43 country-of-origin models are now available !

Juice Profiling™ is an NMR-based screening method for fruit and vegetable juices which has been developed in a joint effort by Bruker BioSpin GmbH and SGF International e.V.

The Juice-Profiling method has undergone a significant upgrade with the new version 4.0.

For each juice a multitude of parameters related to quality and authenticity is evaluated simultaneously from a single data set acquired within a few minutes.

Traditional Juice Authenticity and Quality Control Analysis is time-consuming and involves various analytical instruments and methods. However, the NMR Juice-Profiling method streamlines this process.

The updated NMR Juice-Profiling 4.0 method helps to save considerable time and cost by replacing many conventional methods within one single analysis.

It allows robust and simultaneous quantitative analysis of the parameters pertaining to authenticity.

Additionally, it provides valuable authenticity insights and confirmation thanks to the statistical evaluation of the NMR profiles and the comprehensive database of nearly 50000 reference samples.

Juice Profiling 4.0 boasts a routine, straightforward workflow, automatically analyzing over 60 samples in one run, with minimal sample preparation and without the use of toxic solvents.

Versatile and cost-effective, this method discerns the authenticity of both fruit and vegetable juices, in a comprehensive and unique way.

Example: Quantification of the constituents of a pineapple juice

Statements of our Customers

Eurofins Analytics France, Eric Jamin

Our company has been using the NMR Juice-Profiling method since its early days, thus offering our customers the benefit of a wide coverage of authenticity parameters and powerful statistical models.

The recent upgrade 4.0, beta-tested in our laboratory, is a significant improvement of the size of the database used and of the range of available models for economically important fruits producing countries.

The presentation of reports is also easier to read for non-experts in the field of NMR profiling.

Eurofins Analytics France will continue to support the use of this tool as an efficient authenticity screening approach, while offering the community of user laboratories the opportunity to monitor their proficiency through a dedicated Proficiency Testing scheme named PRO-PTS.

Markus Jungen
Technical Manager, SGF International e.V.

The Juice-Profiling methodology, a robust tool, not only expedites the evaluation of authenticity in fruit juices but also extends its reach to encompass vegetable juices. By harmonizing quantitative scrutiny of constituent elements and intricate statistical analyses of profiles, including provenance, this method offers a comprehensive and efficient means of discerning the authenticity of both fruit and vegetable juices.

André Platzek
Head of NMR Analytic Department, Tentamus Chelab GmbH

The updated juice profiling method is a formidable tool for the authenticity analysis of fruit juices. It allows time-efficient and versatile scanning of a wide array of parameters helping us to meet our individual customer‘s needs. Simultaneous analysis of selected parameters provides a significant increase in efficiency with PCA analysis yielding valuable information on the authenticity of the fruit juices with special regard to purity and geographical origin of specific fruits.
