Accelerating the drug development process with Bruker high-throughput mass spec solutions powered by timsTOF technology

This tutorial will highlight the unique capabilities of Bruker's high-throughput pharma and biopharma mass spec solutions based on innovative timsTOF technology. The presentation will address various critically important drug discovery/development workflows and illustrate how Bruker's customized timsTOF solutions stand out to accelerate and enhance these, e.g.

  • Label-free (ultra)high-throughput screening and high-throughput experimentation monitoring in early drug discovery enabled by timsTOF MALDI PharmaPulse®
  • Molecular imaging in tissues with MALDI guided SpatialOMx®
  • High-throughput protein degradation studies, HCP analysis and immunopeptidomics facilitated by 4D-Proteomics™ Ecosystem
  • Complete characterization of DNA, RNA and beyond provided by OligoQuest™

Arndt Asperger, Ph.D., Senior Applications Scientist, Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany

Arndt Asperger, Ph.D., is a senior applications scientist at Bruker Daltonics GmbH & Co. KG, Bremen, Germany. Arndt is analytical chemist by training and got his Ph.D. from Leipzig University. He joined Bruker in 2002 and has been working in various positions related to MALDI applications and applications development, with a current focus on high-throughput pharma/biopharma workflows.

Bruker SPR Pro: Multiple ways of kinetic profiling with High Throughput Surface Plasmon Resonance

Surface Plasmon Resonance is an established and widely used biophysical technology in screening and lead development campaigns for novel drug candidates. The real-time, label-free analysis of interactions offers additional insights into kinetics as well as binding profiles. Besides the usage of a common multi injection kinetic, the titration cycle kinetic offers a quick insight into the kinetics behavior of a full screening campaign. We herewith present an automated and high-throughput optimized approach for kinetic profile determination using SPR. Especially the high comparability between the shown approaches will increase the flexibility for the user to determine the typical parameters from a SPR experiment.

Sven Malik, Senior Application Specialist, Bruker Daltonics SPR, Hamburg, Germany

Sven studied Bioprocess Engineering at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany and graduated in 2012. During his diploma studies he investigated the interaction of cytomegalovirus protein pp65 against certain antibodies. In 2012 he joined Sierra Sensors GmbH to start his role as application specialist. After 6 years he became senior application specialist as Bruker acquired Sierra Sensors® GmbH. Currently he is involved in the customer support and product development.
