About the Course
This workshop for the micro-XRF user is an intensive in the fundamentals of micro-XRF and daily use of the M4 TORNADO. Both new and current users will benefit.
Micro-X-ray Fluorescence (micro-XRF) spectroscopy is a powerful analytical technique for non-destructive elemental analysis at microscale resolutions. This 3-day workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals underlying Micro-XRF spectroscopy and the applications of the M4 TORNADO.
We will cover essential topics including the principles of X-ray excitation, X-ray detection, and fluorescence analysis. Participants will gain insights into the instrumentation setup, quantification methods, and data interpretation techniques essential for accurate elemental analysis and quantification.
The workshop will delve into practical aspects such as sample preparation considerations, optimization of measurement parameters, preventative maintenance, and strategies for overcoming common challenges encountered in micro-XRF analysis.
Through a combination of theoretical lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants will acquire and hone the necessary skills to effectively utilize the M4 TORNADO and micro-XRF spectroscopy in their daily work.
